Baptism

WHAT  DO  WE  BELIEVE  ABOUT  BAPTISM?

Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. We believe that baptism is a public display of admitting our sinful nature before others and before God, declaring that He is Lord and deciding to live a life surrendered to Him. At Sierra Bible Church, we host baptisms multiple times per year during a Sunday service and at Pinecrest Lake (about 30 minutes up the hill from our church).

OUR NEXT BAPTISM:

Our next baptism will be on Sunday, December 29 during both services (9:00 and 10:45).
This is a water baptism, open to kids, youth and adults.
Baby dedications are normally held a few times per year.
If you are interested, we encourage you to connect with one of our pastoral staff (form below).
We provide a towel and t-shirt for you, and encourage dark clothes.
