The Missions Outreach of SBC has always been a central part of our overall ministry. In the earliest days, church family members held small group Bible studies in their homes reaching out to neighbors and friends. The church budget, even when it was about $1000/month, included 10% that went to Missions which typically went to support someone serving overseas. Never did we dream that, 35 years later, we would be a church with a multi-faceted outreach ministry that includes many areas of involvement within our community and significant connection around the world as well. SBC is involved in six partner churches in under-reached and minimally-resourced areas in other countries including:
Atucucho Church in Quito, Ecuador
Comité del Pueblo Church in Quito, Ecuador
Good News Church, Russia
Heart of Jesus Church, Ukraine
Nayón Church in Quito, Ecuador
Porticos del Cielo Church in Ensenada, Mexico

Grocery Outlet + SBC

For the month of July, Grocery Outlet Sonora has offered Sierra Bible Church to be one of three recipients of the donations given for their "Donate a Bag for $5, get $5" in-store campaign! In addition to that, they have worked with our Food Pantry to assess our greatest needs. On Sunday, July 14, they will deliver a pallet of food to help supply those needs. If our church family can buy the pallet (up to $2,000 ... we're thinking 200 people donating $10), they will MATCH THE FUNDS (up to $2,000) for credit in their store for fresh food (meats, vegetables, fruit, etc) for our food pantry. Uganda Trip- 2024

We are planning a trip to our partner ministry with Matt and Shelly Actis in Uganda for Fall 24. There are lots of opportunities to serve. Our main focus will be coming alongside their preschool and school for teacher development and training. We will probably have a work project as well. SBC Food Pantry: This ministry exists to demonstrate the love of Christ by praying, listening, caring and providing for people in need. We mainly provide groceries for the homeless, indigent and low-income families of Tuolumne County.
The pantry is available at the Sierra Bible Church office Tuesday through Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Walk-in clients will meet with a support facilitator for a needs assessment as a part of providing services to meet their individual needs. If you have donations of non-perishable food, you can drop off your donations at the church office during the week.
Interfaith Community Social Services: Providing volunteers and finances for those facing misfortune. Open from 10:00 to 1:00 Monday through Friday, located at 18500 Striker Court. If you need information, the phone number is 532-0905.
Foothill Pregnancy Center: Providing volunteers and finances; helping men and women in crisis choose life. Contact: 536-9262.
Celebrate Recovery: Helping people with hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Contact Chris Lytle 209-872-9815
GriefShare: Sharing support for those dealing with the loss of a loved one. Contact Emily Turner for more information at emilyt@sierrabible.com.
Give Someone a Chance: Building a home for veterans. Contact GSAC office (588-8377).

SBC Recycling Program: Sierra Bible Church has an account at Waste Management. If you take your cans and bottles to recycle and request that your donations be credited to the SBC account, the money raised will be deposited to help with missions we support.
