Ministry Update: Worship
MINISTRY UPDATE: WORSHIP

We have a lot coming Sierra Bible Church, and so much to be excited about! Three main things come to mind. First is our team. It is growing and we are expanding into new areas and abilities chasing after God’s kingdom and creating an opportunity that we can share with you! Second is the music. There are more and more biblically based songs of truth being released and we’re working really hard to be able to share those with the church. Finally is the heart of our worship, there is a shift and we couldn't be more excited about it!
The Team: We are beyond blessed with the worship ministries team here. The “back of house team” as we call them, are so involved and really help make everything happen on Sunday mornings. From tech to AV they are THE PEOPLE! Important to mention a dynamite duo of volunteers Edward and Kiah who recently got engaged. WOOHOO! And of course I can't go without an honorable mention of our very own sound engineer, Paul Moody. He and his family recently moved up from the Bay Area where he worked for Dolby Digital for over 24 years, and has over 30 years of experience in running sound at churches and other venues. For the front of the house, our newest addition to the worship team is Keri Conlin. A local business owner, mom of three, a vocalist, and my own sister! Thanks for joining us Keri.

The Music: I recently had the opportunity to join in on a live album recording with Bryan and Katie Torwalt, and Cody Carnes, and let me tell you, it was amazing! We can’t wait to be bringing some of their new releases to the church. With all of these creative juices flowing in the creation of fresh, new worship around the world, we decided to dig in and take part in some of it. Our team will be releasing some of our very own music written in house. SO EXCITED!! Stay tuned for when those will be released.
The Heart: My heart for worship is always growing with hope and joy, especially because we are blessed with such an awesome team of volunteers! I had mentioned earlier that there is a shift that has started. Our church is becoming more and more engaged in worshiping the King of Kings. No undertone of condescension in that! I recently took a week off in January, and on that Sunday my wife and I decided to come and worship in the congregation with everyone, and it was awesome! The church is singing and longing for God’s presence. It continues to bring tears to my eyes. I believe that worship is more than a biblical thematic idea. Rather, it is a catalyst to enter into God’s holy presence, and in that place, we are truly touched and changed from the inside out to look more like Him. We are so incredibly blessed with our people, our volunteers, and the common goal of spreading the truth of the Gospel to our neighbors across the street, and across the world.
Love loud and speak softly. God bless you church!
